Hey all
I know someone who has just moved here with a CDL from Europe. She's living in Toronto currently, and would like to find a good OTR company TO WORK for, and soon!
Any Canadian drivers with good suggestions?
And @Chinatown, how about you?
Canadian OTR companies?

I can't really help on that one.
Celadon owns a company in Canada, Hyndman (www.Hyndman.ca), and they have 4 terminals in Canada.JReding Thanks this. -
Drivers seem to be happy at Bison. There are lots of companies in the Toronto area. What kind of work does she like to do?

Thanks China. I'll just wait for our Canadian friends to respond...
Chinatown Thanks this. -
They have Canadian specific forums down at the very bottom. She shouldn't have a problem finding a company.

Challenger used to have a terminal in Nashville; I remember they are out of Canada:

I will post the following information, but note that in her case it only applies to acquiring a G licence (two-axle passenger vehicles). If her licence is not from one of the listed countries, then she is starting from zero, likely with a graduated licence and I don't believe she will be eligible for an AZ immediately. If she can exchange her licence then she should be eligible for the appropriate retesting for an AZ immediately.
Exchange an out-of-province driver's licence
You can exchange an out-of-province licence for an Ontario licence, if you are re-locating from:
- any Canadian province or territory
- Canadian Armed Forces
- U.S. States
- Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, the Isle of Man, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, Taiwan
