No one might put a quarter in the glad hand, pull the 5th wheel, put a nail in front of your tire(s), steal your lights (trailer), drain your fuel....

 

1. Drivers who qualify for the 100 air-mile radius and 150 air-mile radius exceptions are not required to take the break.
2. In most cases, the 30-minute break rule is only valid if it is logged “off duty” or “sleeper berth”. Off-duty means that you are relieved of all responsibilities and can pursue other activities of your choosing.
3. Hazmat drivers also need to take the 30-minute break and log it “off-duty”. But drivers transporting Division 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 explosives must log their 30-minute break as “on-duty”.

 

Neither of your pages states "flag" nor "log"

 

Once you drop down to line 3 or 4 the 8 hour clock starts. If you are on line 4 and stay on line 4, you can go past the 8 hour limit without a break. BUT, to go to line 3 you must take a 30 min break, if you are past 8 hours since the last time you were on line 1 or 2 for 30 min.

Does a truck driver need a 30-minute break every 8 hours of driving?
The 8 hours are consecutive hours, so they include driving and all other time (including any breaks that are less than 30 minutes). The hours of service rules say you have to stop driving CMVs once you reach 8 consecutive hours past the end of your last break of at least 30 consecutive minutes.

I am going back and forth on Google. I found the first one and it explains a lot of interesting stuff.

If you doubt what I post, then Google - FMCSA Pre and Post trips logging or variants of..

Since you doubted the first one and questioned Logging and flagging I searched and found the regulation..

so you are doubting that now?

 

Yes.

You stated the rules say a pre-trip is flagged and a post-trip is logged. You still haven't shown that to be the case.

 

Just missing the part where the regs require a certain time frame. Your opinion that post should take more than 15 is just that, an opinion.
