Just a typical hurricane. Certainly could have been worse. Makes me wonder why the looting is worse than Houston who actually experienced a disaster and still is. Florida is the absolute armpit of the east coast. Sorry. Had to say it.

Correction. Not all of Fla is a armpit. The panhandle is exempt from my previous statement.

It's early but here's another couple of disturbances that recently pushed off the African coast, headed west

Eight confirmed dead. Its a horrific thing. One of the residents daughter was interviewed. Her mom is fine and resting comfortably in the hospital. She blames Florida power and lite. She called them numourous times and sadly this nursing home wasn't on their top priority list.

Why do these sorts of places not have well-configured diesel backup generators? No facility in charge of medical or elderly care should be completely reliant on available utility power

I think there's much more to this story that we don't know about yet.Over the course of a year that nursing home called emergency 127 times. This last time they called 911 they came and called 911 again about another resident then after 4 times cops decide to investigate and that's when they found all the bodies. Now many are in critical condition.
