    I don't know why companies force you to take per dium. I've only worked for companies that do that.

    If you have worked for 10 years or less you already have earned lifetime social security max benefits. you can get more by delaying when you retire. Per Diem gives the company breaks in regards to Taxes.

    i once was told by a company that they don't benefit from per diem, that they did it solely to help the drivers LOL!!!!!!!!! yeah the lies just roll off their tongues

    What the driver gets is his money up front instead of in his taxes at the end of the year. the daily rate is 63 dollars a day you are out.for meals and entertainment, per DOT rules. 80 percent deductible.
