I owe @Suspect Zero dinner and a few drinks. We ran into each other at Blues City Brewery last week and I was #####in about my fitted bed sheet wouldn't stay on, twin size. All the "trucker size" sheets are so expensive. SZ told me to try XL Twin sheets. Hell, I didn't know there was such a size,,,,, well, there is and Wally World has them for cheap. :-D My life is complete.

Just make sure they are 1000 thread count or better. You wouldn't want sheets that feel like sandpaper on your sensitive tushie. :laughing6:

Hey y'all, hope you guys are doing well tonight. I'm currently at the Albany terminal. I dropped my load of bottles at the brewery around 2pm. I've never had to drop anything (other than an empty) at the brewery. Holy tight squeeze, Batman, that was a little rough. It's fun for me to finish a drop like that and look back at how awful I used to be. Every once in a while it'll hit me, and I can see what a year has done. That drop never could have happened when I first started. I'm not gonna know how to act when I eventually get a truck with an adjustable 5th wheel :biggrin_2559: I'm gonna look like a super trucker! @wprice0511 when you get to school, you will at some point hear Bill say that it takes a long time to get good at backing. Believe that. Don't be discouraged if you struggle. YOU WILL. And it's normal. I kinda figured this would happen because I'm in the south, there was no load after my drop. I waited at the terminal for a couple hours, and decided to mosey on over to The Ozone for a beer and watch some football. I slept like a champ last night and I'll get to do the same thing tonight. I'm gonna set my alarm for 4am and send another macro 4. There won't be a load, but it'll be a reminder to dispatch that I need one, and should have one sometime in the morning. It is what it is. I can't possibly complain, because a lull in my schedule is a welcome thing once in a while. I can recharge my batteries and catch up on life. I might even be responsible and do a load of laundry. I believe that's it for me, I don't have much else to report. I'll talk at ya later. See you guys tomorrow. Peace.

Please pardon the following rant. I needed some smokes, so I bobtailed to the Pilot down the road. Some guy approached me with the "I'm homeless blah blah" speech. I took the guy inside, got him a coffee and some food. He friggin bolted before the cashier even finished the transaction. I didn't even get a thank you. What an a-hole. Congratulations sir, you have guaranteed that every person in your situation who approaches me in the future will be met with a hearty "Go F yourself". Way to be grateful, you dick. Starting the day in a bad mood is never a good sign.

So sorry your day started that way brother! Ungratefulness/being unthankful is one of the worst things in my opinion and unfortunately there seems to be an epidemic of it in much of our great country right now. I know it's hard but try and take a deep breath and let that go, you were doing a kind thing and you got robbed of a nice human experience, don't let him steal any joy & happiness the rest of the day may hold for you, he definitely isn't worth that!! Be safe my friend! :)

Wassup y'all. Tonight I'm in Cartersville. Opie broke me free of Albany and gave me a broker load that picked up in Andersonville Georgia and delivers extremely close to home in East Canton Ohio. I've been living near Canton all my life and never heard of East Canton. Weird. North Canton, Canton, Canton South, been to all of those. It's a mystery. My campout in Albany granted me a fresh 70. Although I didn't need it, I love seeing a clean 70 on my Qualcomm. And as a kicker, I was given layover pay. I didn't even know that existed. Whatever man, I'll take it! Thank you Opie, I appreciate you brother. I tried something today that I've never done up to this point. This broker has an app for my phone. I knew it existed, but never used it, and it will now be used every time I get a load from them. I installed it before I called the broker. The woman I spoke to saw that I was using it, and my experience with this load was vastly different as a result. This app eliminates the need for me to call in to update progress. Because of that, she gave me all the information I needed for both the shipper and receiver. Check-in numbers, contact names, phone numbers, instructions for the receiver, etc. Wow. And the app itself also contains items specific to this load. So far, I'm a fan. The only thing I don't like is that it tracks my phone's location, which is why I've never used it. But hell, this is a good trade-off. I'll take it. This sure beats the alternative and the frustrations that go with it. And if I was able to deal with that same woman every time, that would be awesome. She's a real peach. Very cool lady. I am straying off course on this load because of my weight. This is a very heavy load, I'm over 78k now that I've fueled. My GPS gave me a couple route options, both of which would have sent me up 77. Screw West Virginia with this weight. I opted to add just under 40 miles to my trip and take 75 up to 71 instead. I would have wanted to suck on a shotgun after the mountains in WV with this load. No thanks. I fueled up here at the terminal since my fuel solution is now bunk, at least the first stop. My second fuel stop is near the final, so I'll top off my tanks there before unloading and snag another shower credit. I'm hoping I can squeeze a little time out of this run to stop home real quick and hit the license bureau and grab tags for my cars. My birthday is fast approaching and I forgot about getting that handled during my home time. One of these days I'll be smart and just get them through the mail when the reminder comes  Until this job, that chore has never been an issue. I need to get used to that. Tomorrow I should be able to get within an hour of my final if I run hard, and I will. Thanks again Opie, good to have you back at the controls. Alrighty, I'm signing off. Time to eat and shower, and log some pillow time. Hope everyone is doing well. Peace y'all, catch ya tomorrow. Be safe.
