Retaliation and the FMCSA.

Call the DOT without giving your name and ask them to set down the street and pull over some random trucks. Tell them what to look for and hang up. No one needs to know who called.

 

Now why would you do that to people huh?
Not that they would take you serious........You seem like the kind of person that would find a Lost Wallet,Keep the Cash,And throw the wallet in the garbage can without saying a word.

 

There is a problem with that plant that they want to overload the trucks, the driver does not want to bring harm to himself and if other drives are pulling the over height loads they need to be stopped. Otherwise the company has nothing to lose by continuing the practice. If you know you are not within the rules shame on you.

 

Where is this going on at? (State and City) And who is the carrier? Theres a better way to handle this than hiding behind a telephone anonymously....... I can see drivers being frustrated with this...

 

It takes at least 3 months before your case is looked at then it takes months after that.You'll need to call fmcsa in your state not Washington DC.You'll need proof not just hear say.You would be better off finding another company then if you're still angry turn them in.

 

This is the very type of attitude that has helped greatly in putting our industry in the toilet.
By the way standing up and putting a stop to bad behavior by a shipper/ employer isn't going to cause any problems for other drivers.

 

You could be in this industry 40 yrs and not know the appropriate road to take if ya haven't been down it before.

Oh wait I'll put it this way for you,
If you've been in this industry 40 years and you've not had to file complaints on a company before you most likely wouldn't know the correct procedure and or appropriate state or federal office to contact. So what do you do.....ASK!

It's kinda the same as me having been at it for 27 yrs but I know Jack about flat , or HH or tankers.
