How many people have had problems with def on 2010-2013 cascadias..my problem is after dealer does computer updates the Regen stops working and you have to manually do a Regen this then causes one box failure

manual regen will not destroy one box. the one box usually gets toasted because of bad(overfueling) hydrocarbon doser valve. Your problem comes from ACM . I am experiencing same problem. ACM gets bad because of freightliner's idiots. Location of ACM is fantastic -electronic control module behind of splash guard just 1.5 feet above road surface. replace the ACM and everything will be ok 3-4 years.

I had 2011 with low NoX convertion. Ended up the emissions box was bad. I had two different dealers look at truck both said same thing. I got ride of the truck. A new One Box is $12,000.

what truck do you have now ? Cummins is better in this case. you can purchase separate DOC, DPF, SCR parts

I'm back to driving a company truck, 2017 Cascade. The Detroit One Box sucks when the DOC filters go bad because they are built into the box and can't be replaced. Seems like bad design to me. I thought I read everyone is moving to a single emission box. It crazy when you can't replace the parts that go bad and have to buy new emission box.

Does the ACM on a 2013 DD13 need to be programmed when replacing the old ACM with a new one ?

To my understanding the ACM needs to programmed with the parameters for truck. But I haven't done it myself. More experienced techs could give you more accurate information.
I have done the the programming for for field service campaign D20M8 which was the software update to extend life of the NOx sensors. On the two trucks that I did, it required update of all 4 ecm's on the power train bus. MCM, ACM, CPC and TCM. It seems like it was a bit over an hour to program all 4 ecm's & I was new to process.habfleet Thanks this.
