Start at .10 cpm for all the miles the truck runs. You get paid even while the other driver is driving and you're sleeping. Then there are accessorial pays on top of that. Yes, the pay is low, but it's a start for drivers with bad MVR or criminal record.
When you call, don't mention anything about the charges right now, just in case they're dropped.
You'll see California every week and sometimes the Pacific Northwest. Those guys run hard.

There's some other team outfits in the Carolinas that run California, and the pay is much better and they don't hire drivers with bad criminal records. They do hire new cdl grads.
    Hardy Bros. Inc.
    Inman Trucking Co.
    Cargo Transporters
    Palmetto State Transportation
    Carolina Southern
    Cooke Trucking Company
    WLA Inc.
There's also some good solo companies for new cdl grads.
Make a list of the ones you like, then when the time is right, submit lots of applications.
