My main complaint is the lines are in the wrong order. It should go like this:

    Off duty
    Sleeper
    On duty
    Drive

    TruckRunner and nax Thank this.

I agree with you in not supporting this, for whatever reason. But I think you are holding out too much hope that it will affect rates in a positive manner. Such a big percentage of the industry is already on ELD's and so many segments are looking to get exemptions, that I doubt there will be much squirming. I hope you are right though. Rates certainly need any shot in the arm they can get.

    @MrEd ... I hope I'm right too.

I can only imagine the amount of re-scheduling/cancelled loads that will occur, once the "very efficient" load planners start contending with burnt-out 14hr clocks. All those trucks that cant find parking in the rest areas,, while under load. All those loads that need to be re-powered to make the appointment. Can you imagine all those last minute adopters that cant really get their stuff working. DOT will be a buncha wolves. Why do you think they decided to do an "enforcement lite" till April? Because they know there will be confusion to the max...God, I pray I'm right.

    Chaos will be bliss.

I can't see it affecting shippers, recievers, or rates. I can't see any feasting. Except for those who are already feasting.

ELD is already a done deal. I fear Onguard and its ilk is next mandate. As long as there's a way to get the government to mandate a product must be purchased, big money is behind it.
The one I'm fired up about is driver facing cameras. Ultimate nightmare.

    Stop with this already!

As If some of you live your lives just WAITING for the next Law/mandate or what have you to Haunt you.

Start Thinking about Positive things in life or around transportation Folks Will you Please??

No Wonder Why the Country is Filled with Zombified people with Negative attitudes, Without Any kind of Direction.

We already Live in a country Today Where Kids Walk around With Zero Parenting- No Skill. And Want nothing to do with the Workforce.

Now We Have Panzy Adults- Just looking for Ways to physically Watch our Fellow man to Suffer-= And You know Im Right.

Let's Get it Together People- Start Standing up for What's Right- And Start Living Life for yourselves and One Another Without Selfish Acts.

    Thank You.
