Lots of corporations like freight being in limbo between points as long as possible. Shipper doesn't have to inventory it. Receiver doesn't have to inventory it. And no shipper is going to be able to abuse teams with excessive delays at either end. Carriers will demand that freight be accepted when the team gets it there if a team was dispatched.

But yes, teams have been the holy grail for many carriers the last 5 years. This is also a big part of the reason to develop huge training programs which effectively gives them lots of teams for much less cost than a conventional team.

yes, anything over 450 miles will be a team load...
unless you have a pre 2k truck, but i am sure they will find a way to regulate those trucks as well..
i am not against e-logs. i drove with them.. its ok, keeps us safe. but it does seem like a hassle for a lot of old school drivers out there :/
we just have to wait and see what happens..

It will certainly kill productivity for LTL guys, since those of us that don't currently take a 30 will have to.

Today that would've cost me two pickups.

    I thought you were hourly?

I know what your sayin' though- When I did P&D......I Used to HATE bringing stuff Back- If I didn't have all my stops Off by Noon- They wanted me to start pick-ups before I was able to empty out. Hated bringing stuff back to the dock.

I think exempt trucks will have there own special lane at every scale house in the country, lol. Nobody likes change including DOT and they'll much rather audit good old fashioned paper than the 100's of different logging systems.

I am hourly. That doesn't mean I don't like to get my work done though. ;)

I'm part of the 20%. I'll save the clock milking for the 80%.

....Or better yet, skip the residentials and do those after your pickups since they're open all night.

Probably nothing to do with Elogs but my outbound freight from Nebraska has been exploding the last few weeks ...and #### good rates .

I bet it's going to be super chaotic at first. 1 million drivers messing up on logs, breaks, driving over 5mph at a shipper, voiding break times, etc. Too many violators to stop it. DOT will just throw their hands in the air. Right? Gonna be interesting to see.
