Assuming you don't change the fuse out with a larger fuse, you won't have an over load, you'll just pop fuses left and right

    ChaoSS Thanks this.

Fuses should be rated appropriately for the wire gauge.

    Get a laptop instead.
Get a kill a watt to check peak wattage while doing intensive gaming. Some libraries will lend a kill a watt.
    Buy high quality inverter.

Oh dear. Increase the fuse size and leave the little factory wiring in place? Remind me not to park next to you. Hopefully you'll smell it before it's too late.

Sirscrapntruckalot, flood and tallmon Thank this.

If you get a gaming laptop you can play all you want because it doesn't need a lot for charging and it can charge while driving, too.

That's cheaper said than done. Sadder part is, all that money sunk into the desktop system really can't be "traded". Maybe he's got a friend who would pay a fair price for it, but that stuff depreciates so fast, you can't hardly expect to get anything back for it once it's bought. Maybe reuse the case and maybe the power supply, then all the other stuff becomes useless [for gamers always trying to stay at the front of the curve] after a year or two.

I used to build machines all the time back in the early-mid 2k's. Then it was expensive to stay current, and you were rebuilding every 6 months.

And if you bother to read the specs you will see that the 12V plug is limited to 150W.
To gain the 450W it has to be connected directly to the battery.

I have one, by the way.

that's the reason they come with BOTH cords..... low power around 180w and jumper cable to the batteries for high power

    Tb0n3 Thanks this.

Love's truck stop has the Power driver Inverter on sale 3,000watts for $199 not sure but it might include the cables also. It's not Pure Sine Wave not sure how much that matters. Normally that inverter is $279 it says.
