That's because they are so isolated they can't wait to communicate with another Soul.

I've seen so many truckers at Truck stops sitting down for a meal..."break down crying" (i'm talking veteran Drivers 20+ yrs). When i talk to them, I hear "...so-n-so is doing drugs, divorcing me, i'm so lonely, etc, because of what's going on back home." They're stuck in their 10x10 rolling out into the wilderness in the Midwest somewhere. Probably park in a Truck Stop and read the Bible to put them to sleep (if they can sleep).

Lots of reasons for this...they don't fit in to society and find it more comfortable to be ALONE.

Yep...they become Loners (and Lonely people).

That's why i (at this time) and many others stay local....

    I'm almost a loner.

Give me my parent or better yet my girlfriend, and leave us the heck alone!

Fortunately, my girlfriend is also a driver and feels the same way about people in general.

At a company I no longer work with. It's not easy, but thank everything out there we both have cell phones and Bluetooth. Couldn't keep this relationship as happy and healthy without them.

And it makes crossing paths much easier to plan out!

Yeah man...hold onto that. I couldn't do OTR, but a Girl that drives is definitely a plus. OTHERWISE, you might go Crazy (i know a few who have).
