Why do OTR megas pay so little for 70 hrs worked?

A little bit there"s 13 weeks in a quarter and depending on month could be 5 paydays!

Your not even close to being true! Check out Forbes's magazine richest people in the USA and alot of them were once truck drivers who diversified but got their start in trucking! It's all with all things what you make of it!

 

Ok I looked it up,there is roughly 500,000 trucking companies in the USA there are 3 people from the trucking industry in Forbes 400 Roger Penske who's money didn't all come from trucking,One of the family members from JB Hunt and one from somewhere else.Like I said very few get wealthy from trucking

 

If been doing this 32 years not rich but comfortable! Dont have any debt! Own two rigs 2014 Cascadia and 2015 389 pete own my house wife drives Mercedes! Got alot of toys and money in the bank pay the IRS More than most. Avg people make a year! Didn't gtaduate High School! Put 3 kids through college! And 2 grandkids in right now! So there's money if your willing to work your way up ! None if your unwilling to learn! Just another job you will never be happy in because you dont know it all!

 

That's good,but if you only own 2 trucks and paying the IRS more then average people make I'm guessing somewhere between $40 to 70 thousand you need a better tax guy

 

And in this profession its just like any other one the more you know the more you can do the mote your worth! Everyone starts at the bottom! Its up to you to learn and work your way up! At least here you stand a good chance of making 6 figures in less than 6 years if willing to apply yourself! Yeah its tuff! But nobody said it was easy!! But once you've made it ! It does get easier unless you get greedy! And that has caused me grief in the past!

 

Its because I own rental property and stocks and other small businesses now!

 

In that hard spot between a few a year and a 25 over 25 wouldn't pay anything incorporate overseas! But Dont really mind its just a nuisance!
