I am a new CDL graduate. I am spending 8 weeks OTR in the truck with my trainer.
I am having a tough time, it's only been 3 weeks. My trainer and I have Mis matched personalities.
I am trying my best, but seems no matter what I do it is not good enough for my trainer. I just want to finish the remaining 5 weeks and get into my own truck.
How did you coupe during your training period OTR?

Have you tried talking to somebody about getting a new trainer?
driverdriver Thanks this. -
That's too long to have to spend with a stranger in such a confined space.
That said, 5 weeks is nothing in the big picture.
If you find it too tough you might want to see if you can get a different trainer but do not, I repeat, do not do anything hasty.MarkH129 and austinmike Thank this. -
Are you genuinely doing something wrong and can't handle the constructive advice you're supposed to listen to, or is the trainer an buttnugget.
MarkH129, tinytim and QuietStorm Thank this. -
Unfortunately you got two choices finish with your current trainer or try to get soneone else who is better suited to you which may require a wait on your part! My advise is if you can survive the next 5 weeks just grin and bear it! And then you'll be on your own ! Good luck!

It's not supposed to be good enough. You're in all probability destroying his wife. You won't even begin to understand how to treat a woman for at least a year.
I suggest every time he critiques you, listen and follow directions. Then at the end of your run for the day, ask questions to help you learn more, snowflake.
Speaking of snowflakes. You better learn fast or we'll read a story about you on here later this year.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Your probably right but he didnt state stick or automatic and most training companies use automatic now!
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
The answer to your question is you just do it. It's a means to the end that you want, your own truck.. When it's over you never have to do it again.

One would count coupe in the manner that is customary.
