here's that I mean
A while back I had a load delivering to North Carolina about 10 miles south of the Virginia state line
Before I get there i get a pre plan for a load that picks up at our terminal in Richmond the next day and delivers in Memphis the day after that so I accept it.
I make my delivery in NC and do my empty call and everything so my dispatch canine activated. By this time it's about 7pm and I planned on stopping at thE loves or pilot in skippers VA then picking up the load from the terminal in the morning.
However once the dispatch comes thru it switched to a jit load that picked up in avenel new jersey and had to be in Richmond by 12 noon.
I call my company swift and they're basically like yea you still have the hours to make the load of you keep driving, send in a macro 22 if you're gonna be late, you already accepted the load so fucc you, go picc up this load and don't call bacc
I ended up doing it, I remember having to park on an off ramp off i95 that night. My question is what do you guys do in situations like that
What do you do when your company hits you with a bait and switch

Execute the dispatcher the second you have him in your sights
MichiganCowboy, Dna Mach, 207nomad and 6 others Thank this. -
Turn in your keys, and show them the sand pile they can pound.
207nomad, bzinger, longbedGTs and 3 others Thank this. -
If you had time the nite before you should have hooked to the load and it would have been yours and you would have been memphis bound?
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
They changed the load from picking up in Richmond and delivering to Memphis, to picking up in New Jersey and delivering in Memphis once I accepted it -
Tell em to pound sand. I had plans to rest, not drive. The plan was such and such, you dont just change the pick up location like a snap of your fingers and expect the same results. Thats a lot of bs.
207nomad, Badmon, Moosetek13 and 3 others Thank this. -
Go back onto your Qualcomm and resend the macro 9 with commitment of NO. Reason: kick rocks.
That will automatically pull the load off of you. -
Actually... sorry... you were repowering a load from NJ to
Memphis. You just pick it up at the terminal.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
You don't make money sitting around on mileage pay. Them keeping you moving should be a good thing.
You will make more than the average Joe over there if you can adapt to this and keep running.RedRover, spyder7723, CrappieJunkie and 1 other person Thank this. -
The joy of the company mega. What do you do? Go get the load. Put in your time, keep a clean record, and go to work for a real trucking company.
longbedGTs, Kyle G., austinmike and 1 other person Thank this.
