New driver wanting to get into flatbedding. I don't mind hard work and prefer some physical activity.
That being said I have narrowed the companies I want to work for down to TMC, Maverick, and McElroy. TMC being way above the other two. I would be based out of Tupelo, MS. Would like to know which would give me best runs, pay home time based on where I live? Which has best training for safety reasons? May seem stupid but which has best truck amenities? Important to me because it will be my home while on the road.
Lastly best benefits for family?

TMC has the nicest equipment of those three, but I would figure McElroy would get you home the most often. You are on the route to Birmingham which is a plus, and you are near the steel mill in Columbus. McElroy is just across the border off Hwy 80 in Cuba, Alabama.

Jordan Carriers in Natchez,MS has nice trucks and try to have drivers home weekends. They hire new cdl grads. Regular flatbed freight and can eventually move up to the big stuff, heavy haul, oversize, etc.

Howard Transportation in Ellisville,MS hires new cdl grads. This is a private carrier for Howard Industries. I've driven by their terminal many times and seen some trailers loaded with electrical transformers.

Melton Truck Lines used to have the best family benefits, but don't know how they stand now compared to the other companies you're interested in. They have something on a YouTube Channel about it.

Any update on which company you decided to go with?

Chinatown, do you know anything around the Tupelo area that would work for me? I have 2.5 years experience (some otr, most local). Also, I have double, hazmat, and tanker endorsements. Looking to stay somewhat local, but I'm ok staying out a night or two.

Pilot/Flying-J has similar. I think you have to apply online for both companies. Gemini owns the Loves trucks and the paychecks may even come from Gemini, but not sure.

If you are familiar with Jackson MS and it's problems then the Rock will not present too many difficulties for you. Unlike say Memphis...
