Is anyone actually protesting. You would think it would get media coverage. As a cdl holder I support and agree with allot, but I'm not parking the dump truck....that would be silly. I don't put up with much of what is being suposidly protested.

I think with what's going on in Vegas there isn't one person on this planet that really gives a crap about a trucker protest right now.
Drivers had the perfect chance to go on strike when the Intermodal guys went on strike. They could have tied it to coincide and had everybody stand together to make something come down. But who were the first ones to start talking crap it was other truck drivers.
I've been hearing the words strike and protest thrown around since I started this career in 99. It's not didn't happen then it's not going to happen now. And with autonomous trucks coming down the pipeline it's just going to be another nail in the coffin for this career. Because it's going to be a selling point for these autonomous vehicles. Oh look all these drivers went on strike. Look how we can remedy this. -
Automated trucks are at least several decades away.

And for dump trucks maybe never. I go into some really tight areas.

Operation "Black and Blue" ... I was hoping somebody got the #### kicked out of them.
AModelCat, Sirscrapntruckalot, nightgunner and 1 other person Thank this. -
the dump trucks shown on that website are OFF-road only dump trucks used in a controlled environment like a quarry. those arent ON road dump trucks that also get driven off road. i was talking about driving a dump truck in places like down town buffalo. tight corners, traffic, and you have to put it into the dead zone on the side of the highway, exactly where the construction crew wants it. i dont see it happening.

Typically I spend fairly little time "off road". My job primarily consists of hauling spoils to the dump site and fresh material to the job site. I spend allot of time driving in traffic in busy towns and the city environment.
Those heavy load trucks generally don't get registered, plated, or insured for highway use. Generally the guys driving them do not have a CDL -
