I've made as little as 900 for a week load to California, then my return trip made me 1100. Then with my current company i just grossed 3200 out and another 2900 back. I'm currently with a specialized company so our freight is better than a typical open deck freight company.
From what I've learned in my short time, it really depends on the company you pick, and how you manage your drive times.Giddy-Up-Go and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
The beauty of flatbed is you're doing all live loads and unloads and the vast majority of people who unload trucks work 9-5 so there's not much benefit in staying out for weeks on end unless you're homeless or something. Go home, see your family, cut the grass, etc
luddybuddy, zenaddler, Giddy-Up-Go and 2 others Thank this. -
Oh wow yea the company I work for don't got out that far west so your getting good miles
-
Yea I'm thinking about changing company's because I don't see the point in staying out for weeks and the pay doesn't change the company I'm considering going to is home weekly

I noticed your other pay asking about maverick or Jordan, I dont know much about Jordan other than after you've had some experience with them you can get into their oversize side.
If i had to choose again, I'd probably start with maverick rather than tmc. Ice talked with many of maverick glass haulers and of those that I've talked to, they make a decent paycheck usually out 2 weeks at a time. Once driving for them, you can transfer over to their boat division that they just purchased.Giddy-Up-Go Thanks this. -
I currently drive for maverick in their USA division I've been with them for bout a year now
-
I don't drive for miles, I get a percentage of the load price to haul.TripleSix and Broke Down 69 Thank this.

Well I assumed you was a new guy. Have you checked into their boat side they bought or?
-
Oh ok I know tmc does percentage pay as well what company do you haul for if you don't mind me asking
