Im not sure what you are driving at.

If there isnt enough repowering going on that's the Company's problem. When we were a team that was one of the things we did quite a bit go in and repower a late driver and hopefully save the account for FFE. It would dynamite our weekly settlement in terms of payroll but the company knows at least one account will be happy again to see their load delivered ahead of the ultimatum if at all possible.

I think what I am trying to get to is this... if you hire on to a company that is consistently late SYSTEM WIDE and a manager managed to open big mouth and reveal that... then you might want to consider moving to a less late company, let's put it that way...

I don't know about others who hire drivers but if I looked at a DAC report and saw all these service failures and then the company that put them on there, I wouldn't even ask about it, I would just ignore them.

I think many do what I do because we know how HOS works.

Is a service failure a DAC thing or just within the company?. I ask because it isn't something I hear mentioned where I work. Sure they say don't be late etc but the "service failure" terminology has never been used that I know of.

If it is DAC reportable then I am screwed as have lost track of the number of appointments I have missed. Some of those have been days late rather than just hours.

Depends on the company. Many megas use that terminology, sadly.

I got 1 service failure ever. Mine was also wrong. It made me so mad and upset I was even distracted about it on Christmas morning while on home time with family. Ridiculous. Now a year later I couldn't care less about it. It's just some inner company BS that nobody cares about. Especially if it's just 1 time. I hope the OP realizes this.

I believe that. It is intimidation, at it's fullest. If the O/P has everything on Q/Comm back and forth, SAFETY will most likely be on his side.
We all started somewhere, and at least he has the conscientious mindset to care. Ridiculous, sure...especially if it's exactly as how stated.

Don't worry too much about it. I would be in contact with my driver manager to get their help defending against it. If not, it is really no big deal.

When you move onto your next company, they will be primarily interested in accidents and moving violations.

Swift is a starter company, get your necessary experience and run far away.
