I carried both over-centre and ratchet, but ratchets were, by far, my preferred ones. Of the ratchets, folding handle ones were preferred as they fit into headache cabinets better. Some customers and sites have banned over-centre binders, some even going so far as to say you can't even have them on the truck. But what they don't know won't hurt you.

The other style has a round part...much easier to use when tightening close to the deck.OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
It's the exact opposite here. We're only allowed to have snap binders, period. Corporate seems to think too many of our drivers would overtighten the load with a ratchet binder...
Granted, I drive for a mega (Melton). But something about the reason reeks of pure corporate bs to me.OLDSKOOLERnWV and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I love my center rings darn it. lol.
Go ahead take your shots teasing me, It's all good makes for a better day. -

I have no sense of inadequacy because spouse is covering me with a slug gun. Every other round is a dixie style big ball with 9 .34 or so caliber round balls behind it when it leaves the barrel, the bad guy is not going to be feeling that great. I don't care about myself as long as when it;s all over the spouse is ok and the home is made safe.
As luck has it the law is usually half a block away day and night so... it's not expected for bad guys to come in.jamespmack Thanks this. -
I love a 45. But in a old house with plaster walls I might not be able to shoot the person coming in the front door thru the wall with a 45acp. I mean i shouldnt have to get out of a warm bed to shoot a intruder.
x1Heavy Thanks this.
