I had one like that last monday. Only had 8 deliveries plus interline freight, and still couldn't get it done due to over length freight being loaded out of order, which on a monday is totally inexcusable.
First was a 25' long skid weighing 2300 lbs that I pulled to the back after unloading the interline freight. That got refused because someone decided at the last minute they wanted it to go somewhere else.
That required going straight to stop #4 to unload the 18' long crates of elevator parts left right on the back, and then back to the interline carrier a second time to rework what was left of the load and take their outbound. After that is what on to what was supposed to be stop #2, righT next door to where the refusal happened.
By the time I got done messing with all that, it was too late to deliver the 3 gaylords on the priority account going to a place about 45 minutes south.
Oh well. If they insist on hauling garbage, this is what happens.

I do see a lot of that on their trucks though when I see them. -
Random rants?
Now that I run my own truck, I'll rant...
Worked for Yellow TWICE in my life!
First time was good. REAL men. No crybabies.
Second time? Pay cut and benefits cut. And CRYBABIES!
Now the Key Board had certain trucks that listed as "non-smoking!" I smoked in them anyhow.
Crybabies. Teamsters? Crying about me smoking in a company truck? How about crying instead of how the private sector pays better than this job?
Hippies. When did Teamster members get replaced with hippies? -
Rants from the context of LTL/foodservice drivers. Not random O/O's with union axes to grind. Wanna vent about your time at Yellow? Great, but leave the union out of it. Half of us are union, half of us are not, and almost all of us will agree that smoking in a non-smoking truck is a jerk move and that's putting it nicely.
Carry on, I'll get the popcorn since I'm on vacation this week.misterG, Bob Dobalina, Mike2633 and 2 others Thank this. -
JPenn Thanks this.

Soooooo good! I have to portion it out for my lunch or I'll eat the whole bag.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
845 cases today got it all done lickety split I'm home right now. Tomorrow we have a big time safety meeting and yesterday I had a drug test that was fun. Actually the med center we use for the drug tests is easy they get you in and out and the nurse there she kind of likes me so it's no biggie.
