30 here, and it is getting worse. But, I own the truck, and have for most of that time... Not the same one, though I wish with these emission systems. But I have already fixed that. ;-)

I remember the days when we said "diesel exhaust fluid" as a joke.

Guys like that made it so hotshots like me can truck for 8 hours a day and have to start looking for parking for the next 3 hours, then sit and listen to guys like him tell me how having never backed a trailer, they were safer drivers than a person who backs a trailer over a thousand times in the span of a month.

Meanwhile, you still see guys like that dead all over the highway the first time a snowflake hits the ground. Guys like that, or guys like he purported himself to be are the reason we have a #### satellite tracking whether we stopped our clock to fuel.

It's really difficult for me because I have run into people who I thought was worst tn

I have done 25000 miles in a month time period. Some of that had to be off the books.

When I brought a truck on and suddenly had the capability to line 5, I added 21 hours to my 70 each week until they caught on. I'd literally drive for 3 hours until the elog said I was out of off duty driving time and then I'd hit the shoulder for 15 minutes and then drive off my 11. Went a full month like that. They were pissed when they audited my logs, but I regret nothing. Mouths to feed. Hate shutting down when I'm not tired.

Finally they asked me how I was on recaps for a month and had 38 hours of drive time remaining and always only had 7-8 hours of recap.

Nope. There's a hill on I-24, about 40 miles from my home town, called Monteagle Mountain (so-called because of the town of Monteagle at the summit of the ridge, although the ridge itself is technically nameless). I've never heard of this "Mt Eagle" though.

So many dangerous drivers say the 'good old days' were better times.
    But, for who?
