You are one stubborn son of a gun. @98989 has commented that his experience with European cabovers shows that my observation of short wheelbase riding tougher than long wheelbase tractors is correct. Yes your cabovers may be more comfortable than our cabovers of old, I'm guessing that the Argosy gives them a run for their money. Guess what! It didn't sell here. That's because conventional are more comfortable. They're easier to climb into, they have larger cabs, and more aerodynamic.

As far as looks go, retro is always in. 3 of the most profitable cars sold in the US are reboots of late 60s early 70s muscle cars. Classic is called classic for a reason. If you, as a Euro truck fanboy don't like that look, that's your prerogative, but nobody else is suggesting that your cabovers are better looking than our trucks. Certainly their utility there is higher than ours, but that does not change the fact there is no market here for them.

No, because it is quite easy to extend an EU cab to even a bigger apartment. Just google for Scania Longline.

That truck would look a lot better if not for that darn dry van. Come on man, a w900 is built from the ground up to pull an all aluminum step or flat. Anything else is sacrilege.

I'm sure. That's why truck manufacturers in Europe build special silent trucks for inner city use. And that's why we invest in silent asphalt on the roads, and special barriers along the highways to baffle the sound. We don't like noisy trucks, and by the way all that noise is bad for your ears, and it is wearying. I know, not for you. Furthermore, isn't drawing attention to yourself with lots of noise a bit childish?
