Trainers truck and food

One good recipe is:

1 ramen noodles (chicken flavor)
1 small can of chicken
1 can Margaret Holmes okra, tomato's and corn. I don't really like okra, but it's not too bad in this combo.
Put all in a paper bowl and microwave for 3 to 5 minutes. I put a plate under the bowl too just in case of spillage.
Be careful with the flavor packet. I usually either skip it or just use a little of it because it's really salty.

 

Unless the trainer has told you that you are sharing his cooler/fridge space don't expect ANY of it. Coolers & fridges are small. Every truck stop sells food, buy that. It's your responsibility to feed yourself. It's much easier living/eating after you get your own truck. Riding with a trainer is about the worst part of coming into the industry because your new to it, sleeping is hard, others make decisions & appointments and then you have to live up to them. It's not a democracy or 50/50 cooperative. Just tolerate everything until you get your own truck then make yourself comfortable.

 

It's temporary until you get your first paycheck.

 

Good job. A lot of newbies seem to think trucking is where a 25 year old leaves their Helicopter Parent to have a Helicopter Dispatcher take care of them.

Seriously.... I'll ask what he would agree to cut down to. Try to make it work as best I can. Otherwise pick something up as we go along.
Try to stay away from microwaves. Get a toaster oven, or convection oven instead. That microwave is leaking all over the inside of that truck. Mine at home leaks out ten feet in front of it. Verified with a meter.
You people don't know how much good, eating healty does for you. You're so filled with toxins from everything. You don't know any different. Never have. I found out. It's the fountain of youth.

 

When I started, I went to school for three weeks, then the company gave me some crap about how I 'missed the pay period' and it'd take FIVE WEEKS to get paid. Don't rip on someone just because they couldn't save enough from their previous low-wage job to go two months without a paycheck...!
