Maybe I should have rewritten or phrased my rantette differently (Small rant...)
You do have a point. But I think I failed myself by not making clear that I remember some of those first days without a speck of pay.
Before joining ATS I worked three months in a long john silvers dishes. 1000 dollars cash ready to go in the pocket before flying down to charlotte NC for orientation. For my part a few 20's got away to help others.
What I should have done is continued to date that ex middle school girlfriend who had grown into a fine adult and a good co worker at that joint back home then. And stayed there with her. cest'lavie...Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
Clap em after filling with this food. Put both ovens to work cooking it. It will be about 6 hours minimum. Towards the end of your shift of 11 hours driving. You will find that the ovens will protect the food quality for about a day. It will provide you with enormous fuel for the work.Eowyn Thanks this. -
Or the one who buys a couple of pre-made sandwiches when you take him thru the grocery store before heading out, buys breakfast lunch and dinner the first two days and then tells you he's out of money? For what he spent at Dennys he could have bought a weeks worth of sandwhich fixings with money left over.
Or the one who you have to stop from getting involved in a three card month game at a rest area?
I get people have bills and that saving money on minimum wage is extremely challenging, but at a certain point personal responsibility comes into play.tscottme, Justrucking2, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this. -
Planning ahead, budgeting, accountability, lol! Most basement dwellers today would forget to eat and wouldn't unless "Mom" opened the door, interrupted their game session of call of duty and said "Jimmy dear your hot pockets are ready".
Justrucking2 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Hot pockets are what the Corps will call trash... I tried them for a month, weight increased 25 pounds and the blood vitals related to heart testing went straight downhill. No more of that trash, Don't do it.
Justrucking2 and Coover Thank this. -
