Wanted to know if anyone knows what companies are starting drivers at. LTL, Road, Linehaul. Only verified rates btw please.

I can confirm these rates after talking with companies on phone interview (LTL so far):

    YRC - $21.78/hour (Union/100% paid benefits)
    XPO - $22.72/hour
Fedex Express (Ramp Driver) - $21.82/hour
    UPS (seasonal Oct-Jan) - $36/hour
    Sysco Foods - $19/hour
    UNFI - $18/hour

These are for positions inside of the 5 boroughs of New York City & New Jersey btw

    When does overtime kick in?

I'm currently working primarily intrastate PA LTL delivery 6 stops or less per day, with NYC truckload trips on the weekends when I choose, and my effective hourly rate is around $38/hour. I'm paid by the piece during the week, and mileage plus premiums on the NYC trips.

Yeah that's pretty good for YRC considering your don't have to pay for benefits.... With no overtime at all you are already looking at close to 900-1000 NET a week..... I ran into a yrc driver in the yard the other day... He said he makes 21 an hour...all benefits paid and he work 50 how weeks.... His take home is probably closer to 1250-1300.... Not bad

That's like minimum wage in NYC. Or jersey. I'll take the Fedex Express one. At least I have a fighting chance at a stable work environment.
