The Cargo and Liability Insurance is $1000.00 / mo.
New Trailer is around $700.00 / mo. -
I worked in upper management on the inside of a trucking company. I ran a detailed analysis for the owner, a combination of lease & company guys. For his particular profile, average rate, overhead, etc, those trucks needed to run 9,000 miles a month to produce any reasonable rate of return after expenses.Justrucking2 and Holtkamp Logistics Thank this.

yeah so 425 bucks a week it is and if they don't like it they can get their own insurance, and their own new trailer, and then see how many days they run a week.
right now you're doing the good deed, and it is not going unpunished. you can nice guy yourself right out of business.Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
Our Company pays Cargo and Liability Insurance and provides new trailer.
Also IFTA fuel tax all dispatch, detention pay and paper work.
Owner Operator pays for 2290 and plates. -
I pay all my own stuff and get charged %10. I pay insurance every week too. My own truck, trailer, plate, ifta, and fuel. There is no min where I'm at.
If someone was to pay everything and charge more % they should be able to dictate the monthly or quarterly min. Within reason I would think. If it's just a lazy ### driver just cut them lose.nax and Justrucking2 Thank this. -

You should structure your compensation in such a way that the O/Os are motivated to work the number of days that you want them to work.

Just for kicks, indulge me:
So for a $1,000 load, you take $200
And then you deduct out of the settlement, another $150/week for your FC.
At a min, this adds up to 350/week, assuming 1 run for $1000.
And you still want them to run more according to your whims???
....shiiiieeeeettt.
This is why I got my own MC. I can run when I want, and don't have to share my $1000 with anyone.
My own ins will be $350/week with no one giving me the evil eye if I chose not to run 5 days and run 2 days.
Paperwork is so easy, I can't believe why O/O would want to be attached to a lease outfit.Cdubb, MM71 and goldwing-rider Thank this.
