What the screenshot that I posted of that comment from that guy on the Facebook group he responded again by saying There's guys barely getting by and trying to keep from losing their trucks and I told them you simply have to go where the rates are higher go to another Carrier Schneider doesn't care if you make any money and he says no you just gotta run more miles consistently the guy is absolutely brain dead and clueless

So per my recruiter at Mercer, flats are getting 1.60-1.80 all miles. More or less depending upon the driver.. So what you guys are saying is that Van is making the same amount of money? Cause I personally that's not true..I have friends here and they are doing 1.40-1.50 maybe.. And they sit a little more than they would like.. As ive said, the flat guys can have an opinion or bash. But the van guys are making the same money as a ic at Schneider.. And I'd like to say IC are making more then the van drivers at Mercer.. You'll get your few odd balls but overall it's parallel

It's no longer IC " Independent Contractor " the new Language is BO " Business Owner ". IC was too Liable of a term and would imply Independence from Schneider. Green Bay and the Lawyers chose to change it to Business Owner in order to stymie any possible confusion as to " IC's " actually being independent contractors. They're learning from companies like FedEx who lost lawsuits because of the lack of seperation between company drivers and " IC " drivers.

Schneider is smart to try and head off potential class action suits and to try and structure the choice program as a Extension of their business not an Independent Contractor position.

Schneider manipulates the rate board I haven't seen anything like that at Mercer.. Sni is stealing half the fuel discount from the ic's as well... Too many shady c*** going on a Schneider but then again they're just a Mega company just like swift & the rest of them

    RStewart Thanks this.

Yes, the recruiters say that because that's the company wide average. Which means there are guys doing better & there are guys doing worse. I don't care what your friends are doing at Mercer. Just because your friends are running for a rate doesn't mean everyone is. I've told you what I've done the last 2 weeks & be what I've got this week. I'm not making a lot of revenue but it's not costing me much to make the money. And this is all by choice. I know what I'm running for & that's all that matters to me. I'm doing much better here than I did at Schneider & I sit more by choice. I don't sit more than I want & I don't run as hard as I did at Schneider. Read this closely, based on MY experience, rates are much better here than at Schneider. On the flip side, I know guys that have come to Mercer & couldn't make it work for them.

I didn't bash Schneider. I simply stated that I shouldn't have been surprised that I brokered a load through Schneider, that paid me way more than what they would've offered an IC, and the load cancelled just like a lot of my loads did when I was at Schneider. Loads cancelling after they are booked is a big issue at Schneider & anyone looking to lease there should get there whole story not just the good parts.

Couldn't agree more. My time there was valuable, I learned a lot. But I out grew the program & wanted to move on to a place that actually treats me like a business partner & not a 3rd grader.

Unfortunately choice is filled with a bunch of X company drivers Who don't care what they're doing and don't care that they're run it for a $1.20 a mile because they can run fast And run more miles just like the post I posted earlier that Facebook group member his response just confirms what I'm saying and I'll post his other response later which solidifies what I'm saying is the truth clueless d*** fools over there It Schneider is loving it
