I'm not starting with you.. You just jumped on the bandwagon in kicking the programs back in.. Every chance you get you throw it in our faces how better you're doing than others.. Okay we get it.. don't be a follower. You wasn't like this a few months back when you were working at Schneider.. You know we can read the back pages right;);););)

I think you both make valid points. I have always found @RStewart to be completely honest and forthcoming. You two have been with both companies so really it's all good info from different perspectives.

Shoooo. This took longer to fester than usual. Lol.

I don't get upset I've been saying it for years, hell I remember being in your shoes and people excoriating me for saying where the choice program was headed. Maybe I was wrong, who knows.

    RStewart and sealevel Thank this.

The problem with choice...sni has intentionality dropped the rates..they manipulate the board daily...when they cancel loads..that means it didn't really cancel, they put it in a company truck..basically most on the program now are fmr co drivers who have no clue...you have one idiot actually stating on Facebook that if you're not making enough money, dont look for higher rates, just run more miles...you cant fix stupid and most of thise clowns over there are just that...the ones who have been on for a good while like some on here can for sure say the same thing...most of these wannabes have no clue what theyre doing and sni loves every bit of it because they can get these guys to run very cheap...I've been saying for a while that they are trying to go back to legacy rates but keep the choice name..

Recruiters give low ball average numbers. Average means diddly.
The more important number is what is the top 20% doing.

So you are back at mercer and don't watch van rates on the board? You should. Obviously i concentrate on flat rates but I'm also studying other trailer types. Step, double drops, stretch flats, and yes vans. I do thus cause you never know when things may change. I could rip my shoulder out again and no longer be able to do open deck. I'm confident i could buy a van and do better than the buck sixty figure you keep tossing about. Not as good as i do with my flat, but certainly better than 'average'. Average means crap. I will never settle for average.

No. You do thus because you are amazed at how dry van consistently only pays .15 a mile less than flat. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but the DAT numbers are there to support me.
From what I gather if you want to sell Mercer you are much better off selling their culture, not rates. That appears to be the big distinction among companies.

Edit too add...I learned long ago (JV highschool basketball team to be exact) that #### measuring contests were never going to be my strong point.

Doesn't the DAT load rates reflect " Averages " not the top end?

Yes. Just averages but a pretty good snapshot of what's going on. Of course no one strives to be average but everyone of us knows, in this business it happens to the best from time to time. Lol
