Im heading back flatbedding after being off 8 months, to care for my mom. Ive always used Rand Mcnally Maps and GPS s, 720. Went into a Loves Truck Stop, and i couldnt believe all the new types of GPS s.Some even had XM radio and blue tooth. Im about ready to get a new GPS, but do ya have any suggestions as to what ya like. Thank ya and Be Safe! Rodney

I've always had good luck with Garmin..
They are pretty easy to use I think..
Lately I've been using Google maps on my phone a lot.Rodneyna217 Thanks this. -
Have tested or used about all the brands on the market.
I have found Garmin to be the better choice overall.
The new TomTom units are looking good as well, just have not had enough time with them.
The GPS device is a tool, not some electronic wonder that will answer lifes mysteries. You still have to use your brain, look and check.
I don’t care what brand it is, it will not be perfect, it will have things that are not correct, may be missing or not exactly in the right place. Seen all of this over the years.
Bottom line is the one you like is the best one.Rodneyna217 and stwik Thank this. -
I'm with the others, for GPS, Garmin has been a great tool. I always plan my routes with paper maps and google maps to double check. But Garmin with lifetime maps, and traffic is the way to go.
Rodneyna217 Thanks this. -
I seen they had a Tom Tom trucker gps the other day when i stopped at a Loves. Never seen one before, but they dont cost as much, but i think Gramin will be my next one,,I have xm radio and i can do without the seperate radio , since the garmin as it already in it,Thanks all and have a Great Weekend.
