Well i've got a really great solution why don't we just go back to the good old horse and cart? that'd be better for the environment, no worries about bridge weights and no speeding / dangerous drivers . just a whole lot of horse s....h....t to shovel

 

My entire post came right outta my Stage 1 brain matter, no internet required. All that came from actual learning the hard way from grumpy old mechanics, and bleeding knuckles on different engines. Best way to go back then.

The end of the world is not going to be ELD'S. It is going to be a CME. Look it up, a Coronal Mass Ejection. The sun sends a huge magnetic cloud from a flare towards earth completely destroying the power grid, all communications satellites etc. Back to the stone age in 1 day. That should be fun...

Its just thats its something different i suppose or is it that they are worried now that they can't drive over there legal hours 11/14 ? What actually happens with the elog will it shut your truck down once you go over ? or will it let you continue to drive and will it just mean if you get checked by the DOT they will know you've broken the legal hours. By the way whats the penalty for going over now? I'd done it once but only by 5 minutes they just made me park up at the Port of entry till i had my 8/10 hr break.
