I have a 96" wide trailer and was hauling 98" wide parts the other day, in order to get around them, I had to run my straps outside my rub rails?? Is there any issue with that? As long as I am under 102" it doesn't matter, right? Thanks guys

It is legal but the scale house might measure your trailer when you go through one.

Hey that's a good idea, if I'm just a little bit over on my 102" trailer and don't feel like getting a permit I could always just tell them I've got a 96" trailer!

They might have a tape but it also requires some brain power to know how to use it.

And when there's only one of them they can't hold both ends of said tape measure!
