Hello all,
I have a silly question... what do you all write on the BOL's if the shipper applied the seal and you didn't even see the contents and its condition??
Thank you in advance.

Just sign it. Get your copies. Deliver it. Get it signed. Transflo it to the company and move along. Go with the flow. Nobody will come after you if the shipper made a mistake.

Shipper load and count.

Shipper load and count. (They have to sign that.)
If they wont sign it after sealing your trailer, do not move a inch. Call your dispatcher.wyodispatchgirl, JustaGuyinTrucking, slow.rider and 1 other person Thank this. -
I sign it and write SLC and make sure they seal it. They're often too lazy and hand me the seal and I am paranoid to the point of grabbing my phone and video record the process of my sealing the trailer with surrounding area in the background. Upon delivery I make another movie, if they are also too lazy to break it themselves.
JustaGuyinTrucking and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Interesting predicament you find yourself in mate how do you know till you get to your destination? Hope you actually know your destination? you'll have to wait till its opened if they let you, or go back to dispatch and simply ask them, don't they usually say what your loading before you go to pick up anyway?JustaGuyinTrucking and x1Heavy Thank this.

Some loads here in the USA they don't tell me *&^% Especially the Military Depot Loads. I'll know how heavy that box is but nothing more. The BOL is blank besides weight and a item count of one. It's Uncle Sam's stuff. I let them deal with him.JustaGuyinTrucking and aussiejosh Thank this.

A driver is entitled to know what he carries. I'd say even that he must know.
JustaGuyinTrucking and 6thGodFam Thank this. -
I agree. But unless there is a Explosives diamond on that trailer for small arms or artillery rounds I sometimes don't know.
Those are the loads that get delivered as fast as the wheels turn. The sooner it's off my 5th wheel the bettter I can sleep at night. What with the whoo whoo that goes on sometimes...JustaGuyinTrucking Thanks this. -
Ha Ha! What if it turns out that upon delivery he'll find 650 dead cats?
P.S.
Sorry, It is Halloween time already and I feel like a good King's novel .JustaGuyinTrucking Thanks this.
