First off, congratulations.
Second off.
Buy a big massive hardcover journal book, something that is a inch thick and about 14 inches tall and pretty wide. Have every single load, stop and box you handle written down. Including and most especially your trip numbers and all other data issued to you when you are dispatched. Then write down the times to the minute coming and going from everyone of these LTL stops.
It's paperwork for sure. But it is your paperwork to help recover any pay that is "Accidently" omitted from your weekly settle ment or company payroll. Audit your work against what was actually written down. That way you will know for sure you have recieved all the money due you.
It will also serve as a reference of sorts. IF there is a problem or directions it's all there.Metallica88, 6thGodFam, rabbiporkchop and 5 others Thank this. -

My buddy worked for a few weeks at YRC up here in the Detroit area. The last straw was when they told him he had to purchase his own pallet jack to unload the freight. Oh, and they would gladly sell him one. He quit on the spot.
