People from Chicago definitely have a noticeable accent

Most of you guys sound like Dan Akroyd and the women sound almost like Minnesota but your “o’s” are spoken a little differently

The only place that’s really neutral is Iowa/Nebraska/Kansas but then those people have that drawl !

This is a generalization of course , there are always exceptions and people that go out of their way to not sound “local “ and/or communities on bordering states that have adopted other accents

I’m from North NJ and you’d never know it

    Update:

Ive arrived in ####cago. At the yard now looking over the truck. Appears to be in decent shape nothing spectacular. They are definitely Russians, a little cause for concern as there are a lot of russian run companies around here that screw people. NOT sure if theyre gonna have me leave out today or tomorrow, hopefully its tomorrow so i can run this around in my head a bit and decide if im gonna give them a go or not. Ive met a few of theor drivers here at the yard and the mechanic.....not an American among them. All their drivers drive ratted out hondas, kinda makes me wonder if theyre actually making the money they say theyre gonna pay me. I almost want to go out for a week just to see if they even get close to that number. They do have a lot of trucks, i counted 12 on the yard alone. Im definitely skeptical and hesitant to get involved here, but again almost want to give it a week just so there some kind of a review on here for others to find if they run across these guys in the future

Ask them how many direct customers do they have or is it all brokered freight?

I'm going to assume since they claim I get to choose all of my loads that it's all brokered Freight

Ya, make sure you buy lots of log books cause you'll be fudging them. You can guarantee if you work this week and decide to quit you won't see a paycheck... Best of luck
