The reason I asked Mark is there is a grandfather clause in the ELD rules. If an aobr is in the truck on December 18,2017, then it can be used as an aobr until December 16, 2019. I was asking if the Rand will be grandfathered as an aobr, or if Rand will 'convert' to an eld on Dec 18, 207

Yes you can if you have used it in the same truck in past year then you can go through 12/18/19

 

It is an ELD, not an ABORD.

I know... I was clarifying that the RM is an ELD.

 

If you have an Rand ELD 50, make sure you update to version 4.4.1. It was released about a week ago.

 

I did that part works great but I still have to clear my Data ever week or so
