Costco ain't a bad job...if you can survive on 40 hours a week. No OT. Easy work. All drop and hook. Mostly night work though. You start off around $18 an hour for a year and a half and move to top rate, which use to be $25.50. It might be $26.50 now. Raises are about a buck a year. Trucks are KW's. Combination of Auto's and Manuals. Equipment is spotless. You might also have to do some Yard Jockey work as well...but other than that, easy job.

Thanks for the reply. By any chance, do you know if they hire fresh CDL holders and if you have the option to choose manual over auto in terms of equipment? Btw I'm in Cali.

Almost 100% sure they don't hire new students. Requirements should be on Costco's website as far as qualifications. I think it's 2 years minimum. I'm not sure if you have the choice of what trucks you can use. They're all daycabs, so it might be slip seat. But from what I heard, they're planning on changing to all Auto's in the future.Redtwin Thanks this.

Didn't realize they have their own fleet. All I see at my local Costco are Swift trailers.

Newer trucks are Volvo's...

All's I heard is that they start at about $21. I would just go in and ask staff if they know whether they hire new grads.
