He's at the lunch counter! That ex- Seal, Green Beret, Spec Ops, ATF "special driver" escorted by the secret service!! He can't be bothered to stop at scales and the DOT guy knows not to stop him! But he's got time to waddle his fat donkey, shoes with no laces, sweat pants wearing hadn't had a shower in 3 days slob self in here to ruin the buffet for everyone else! I guess the CIA and S.Service are just sitting around the corner waiting on him to finish stuffing his gullet so he can get back on the highway with no log book and finger his nose at the Troopers that know not to mess with him or they will be in the soup line!!!
Does he really think people are buying this load?!?!?!

Well, i once had a guy at the lunch counter tell me all the exploits he had in the outfit i was assigned to in 69-70. It was disbanded in 72. The only problem was he bragged about how he graduated high school in 75 and went straight to this outfit straight out of boot camp. When i asked about the CO of the group, he gave some name that was never there. Guess he had read about the group and tried to bluff his way in.
And i have met probably a million SEAL's and GREEN BERET's.

I've yet to encounter one of these guys but I have no doubt I'll have absolutely no qualms about calling one on their ########.

I did encounter one at a vape shop back home. He was very open about being an SOT, when I asked him whether he was an alpha or bravo team member, he made a claim that he was some secret Zulu team...sure pal, called him or right there in the shop be cause that shop gives a veterans discount, needless to say he no longer gets a veterans discount there

Stolen Valor should be punishable by a beat down on the spot!! One of my regrets growing up is not being able to do my service! (bad wheels from high school football) But my family has done their service for many generations! I wish I knew more about MOS and what means what so I could call these guys out! It's pretty obvious but I'm not going to start a fire fight with no ammo! Lol.

Some are easy and some are harder. If they were actually in the military or took SF training,it can be a little harder because they might know some of the basics. If you can nail them down to an MOS or unit that you have experience with, then it becomes easy and fun.

I avoid lunch counters and driver's lounges. Most of the ones I encounter are bums claiming to be Veterans. Just asking their MOS ends it right there. If they can answer that,I give him what I can spare.

The Iraq Veteran used to be in fashion. You'd ask them where in Iraq and they'd always say Bagdad or Fallujah. Those two cities were always in the news. If say where at and they'd repeat themselves. I'd say where in Baghdad or Fallujah and I'd get a blank stair. What was the name of the base/FOB/COB etc? What was the alphanumeric code for it? They always don't remember. They also either don't remember their MOS or they didn't have one.

It was a funny thing about working for KBR. It kept all of the truck drivers honest when it came to stolen valour or embellishing. If you were former military or NG/Reserves, you had to give KBR a copy of your DD214 when you hired on. All they had to do is look it up.

We had one guy that would go on and on about Panama. It was the only conflict that his age would fit into. Panama this,Panama that, I this, I that. We got tired of hearing it. The supervisors pulled up his application. He had listed 'non military.' He had been there for four or five months and was getting used to the big paychecks.

One day everyone had enough. At the beginning of the shift meeting, the supervisor said that he had to go see HR with his passport(never good unless you're going on R&R). He asked if the Supervisor knew what it was about. The Supervisor said that he was being fired for failing to provide KBR with a DD214. He repeated DD214 acouple of times,it went down hill from there. We called him DD214 for a couple of months after that. HR said we had to stop.

You meet all kinds of veterans over there. I worked with at least two dozen Vietnam veterans. They'd tell their stories without embellishment. I knew a driver that was in the Army assigned to a press liaison unit with the White House. They traveled with the President when he went overseas. They made sure the media had the right access to the President. I never knew it until I was talking to another drive about Air Force One. He answered a question we had about. He said he flew on it in the Army when the President went overseas. Never hung out with the President and the President never asked him for advice.

A lot of the Veteran drivers were between wars. They either got in right after Vietnam and out just before Desert Storm or got in right after Desert Storm and got out right before Afghanistan/Iraq. They came over to see what they missed.

When I was younger I used to love sitting on the floor at my Grandparents and listening to the war and military stories from my Grandpa, Dad and Uncles. The boot camp stories about Parris Island we're great! Again my biggest regret was not being able to serve. I was born in 70 and would have been the right age for Desert Shield/Storm.
I watch the Stolen Valor videos on YT and some of them are so ridiculous I want to laugh but it makes my stomach turn!
