The scales on the southbound side in Marion, Arkansas are rarely open. I had a friend that worked at the Nesbit scales on 55 in Mississippi. He told me they wanted permits sold, over weights ticketed, allow them to get legal but fine them. It was all about the revenue, fines going to the state instead of the county he was in.
Would you run with this weight like this?

Size & Weight
Q: Will overweight violations noted on roadside inspection reports affect a carrier's CSA scores?
A: No. Size and weight violations were removed from the now obsolete Cargo Related BASIC when the Methodology was updated in August 2010.
I'm glad you noticed that, my err...I do remember getting charged 280 dollars for being overweight in North Dakota POE even though I fixed it. My company used to make drivers pay the fines.FullMetalJacket and spyder7723 Thank this. -

yes I would run that load...
I wouldn't have bothered with a Cat scale either or crossed any state scales. -
Move it two holes and ride

You're telling me this isn't how a spread axle is supposed to work?!?!? Gosh darn it.
Too be fair. This was a fiberboard load... and I didn't feel like hanging it more than a few inches off the front. But still I hate the mindset shippers have when it comes to loading spreads -- even after you tell them you want to run heavier on the drives... -
Hauled a load a week or so ago that was supposed to be 49,700#...52' load. I had it overhanging 2' on both ends, which put me 32k & 35K...not perfect, but tolerable. I think they over-estimated the weight, though, because I should've been right at (or just a hair over) 80K, and I wasn't.stwik Thanks this. -
Who has time to go back and reload a truck? Just sayin'... I pull a frameless bucket and I would be happy with that load.... Nothing a good stomp on the brakes won't fix...LOL!
You guys are crazy pulling those giant boxes around sliding the axles this way and that, you mean to tell me that they don't know how to load the nose in one of those?
In my world I would be happy just because it's under 80k thus making the big road an option...
