Thats exactly the kind of input I was looking for, thank you. I've never timed those routes but figured they would be pretty equal as long as severe weather or denver traffic isn't a factor.

He may be on to something here. Why are we still using “lbs”? Doesn’t pds make more sense?

Why is “Pound” Abbreviated as “lb”?

I say we start a petition to change it to pds.

70 to Vegas is not quicker. You will do well to come through Wyoming and then 15 down through St Georges and so forth. Just be careful at the Virgin River which is around the AZ/NV/UT state line if I remember right.

Winter is here. I-70 is a mountain winter road. You will find Wyoming a better situation in wintertime. I love 70. But I'll take 80 just the same. Cross down Salt Lake City, take the I-15 on down.

The last time I was on 15, it was memorable. 3 inches of snow not far south of Salt Lake, became a foot before St Georges, then two feet prior to NV line. I was barefoot without chain this was round 2000 I think Janurary. It was a nice little winter storm that was developing and moving east and north to make a true storm with feet upon feet of blizzard conditions behind me. Las vegas that night was a paradise, not much of any snow at all. A little bit mind bending. But it is what it is.

But you need again to be careful along the Virgin River when you go through there.
