Sam's Club has delvac for $8.59/gallon right now.
Oxbow, SAR and punksmacker Thank this. -
Never have used Delvac but at that price I may have to run out and buy some, I've definitely been noticing that it seems to be decently priced when in stock at other locations and Ristow glad you mentioned Napa I always forget them when I'm looking for parts , think I will go by today and see if they have some gear oil and tools I need
Oxbow Thanks this. -
delvac is good. in my engine the blowby stinks badly with it but it is premium oil.
Oxbow and punksmacker Thank this. -
Mag 1 is good oil too if you can find it. and their moly grease is really good. but like delvac, their oil is real stinky in my old 60 series.
Oxbow and punksmacker Thank this. -
Just bought a box of 3-1 gallon jugs of Delo at Sam's club for $25. Roughly 8.33 a gallon. Tractor supply had Travelers for $7.50 a gallon but I missed the sale this time.
punksmacker Thanks this. -
i like delvac better than rotella, i like the rotella t9 full synthetic but there regular t-5 or whatever it is seems iv always had more oil consumption when running that than any other oil.
Oxbow, SAR, punksmacker and 1 other person Thank this. -
We've had the same issues with oil consumption. Have a drum of shafers semi synthetic in the shop. In my old motor it just doesn't like it.

Not many of these "owner-ops" Have Space like you and I do to Keep 55 gallon drums and tires-parts etc- Many dont even have a garage- We are Lucky to have a shop with space...
I like to give guys advice that want to work on their own trucks that aren't on a farm or wherever......To at Least Lease a Yard somewhere with your own spot or 2- Put a 20' container down for parts/tool storage, At Least they can work on it if it doesnt rain or snow..
I see too many guys on here forget that others dont have workspacepunksmacker Thanks this. -
company I used to lease onto put full synthetic in their fleet of older detroits, seems their engines were used to having the regular oil in them because they all started consuming more oil and leaking real bad so they had to switch back to the non synthetic
