Does anyone know why a truck driver with a felony conviction cannot cross the border in a truck?. I’m just curious is this a Canadian law U.S law?. Doesn’t affect me since I have no criminal record at all but was wondering about it.

Canadian law........ you can’t enter the country without a truck either.

No entry list for Canada is generated by Big Brother whom shares US citizen criminal justice records with the ministry's border patrol.

Canada, just like the U.S. and just like every other country in the world, reserves the right to evaluate all non-citizens that request access to the country. Do you think Canadians just get to waltz across the U.S border?
Why some people cannot enter or remain in Canada
There are a number of reasons you can be found inadmissible, denied a visa or refused entry to Canada such as:
- Security
- Human or international rights violations
- Criminality
- Organized criminality
- Health grounds
- Financial reasons
- Misrepresentation
- Non-compliance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).
- Having an inadmissible family member
- Travellers - Visitors to CanadaFullMetalJacket, rabbiporkchop and Dan.S Thank this. -
Been the one time in my life being a convicted felon was an advantage. Company would dispatch me on a load to Canada and I couldn’t go, no minister’s permit. Good deal, have zero desire to go up there anyway

So how do these truckers get nailed crossing the border ?
Passports? -
There is no "No Entry" list for Canada generated by the U.S. Canada, being a sovereign nation, just like the U.S., decides who is eligible for entry. Yes, there is sharing of public records between both countries as well as the interview process at the border.FullMetalJacket Thanks this.

If u committed misdemeanors they can refuse you entry. They really changed everything after the 9-11 terrorist attacks. USA had operation zero tolerance and Canada did their own new screening of Americans too.
