non insulin is OK insulin is not unless you follow the prescribed waiver program which required input from your doctor every few months. which looks like a PITA

Yes, but there are restrictions. I don't know what all they are, but I work with a guy who is diabetic. I think the main restriction has to do with how it's controlled. If you take insulin shots, you may be disqualified (but don't listen to me, I'm not completely sure how it works).Romeo570 Thanks this.

Controlled by diet and non-insulin sugar. Blood sugar has to be below 200 for DOT physical. They want a reasonable A1C.Bob Dobalina and Romeo570 Thank this.

I do, but we run to the local plant. So, my company requires us to have a class A. Before that I was otr 2 years and 1 year local. I have been driving all total about 4 year. Had diabetes for 9.

I’m a type 2 and do a weekly injection mostly because the metformin was shutting my kidneys down. So yearly I go the the hoops to keep my cdl.
