That's the part I don't like; having to do another physical plus a hair follicle drug and urine test. That phone interview is actually an "integrity interview" where they ask trick questions trying to catch you being deceptive. They may ask you the same question 3 times, but it's structured so that you don't even realize thay've already asked you that. They want to see if you give the same answer each time.

    Dan.S Thanks this.

No I'm acting like one company is night and day different then the other.

One pays you from day 1 the other doesn't pay you #### for a whole month.
One has classes with up to about 40 students and the other has much less student to instructor ratio and more time to practice. One is a refer company the other is dry van. One pays .30 a mile the other pays .35. Both low pay but the difference from .30 and .35 is at least $100 less a week I would make at .30 a mile. Stevens recruiter says the pay is .30 a mile but with other things like detention pay it averages out to .35 a mile.

Who gives a crap about a bus ticket. I'm somewhat broke but I can swing that if it means the company is better.

Also, I think 10 cents of Stevens' 30 cents a mile is per diem.

If you here just for the money. I honestly think you should find a different career path. But If I knew what I know now, I'd go with Prime.

But isn’t Stevens all reefer? I wouldn’t want to go right into reefer as a rookie. Just seems like it wouldn’t be very profitable with all the sitting that they do. Just my opinion.

When I left the company in 2013, they still had one of those old cabovers at the Appleton terminal, the shop used it as their yard horse. That thing was a relic!

Now I got people calling me up for electrical work. I had a previous customer call me yesterday I did work for about 7 years ago. They just bought a house and it needs lots of electrical work all new service and interior wiring. At least a few grand in work. Then another person called for another small electrical job.

Perfect timing right when I'm in the middle of this:rolleyes:
