Back in my mega carrier days, this was a regular occurrence. First one to grab an empty [wherever] was first one dispatched.

Disregard this post. I see now you're not at a large carrier.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

interesting story . two weeks ago one of my friend went to amazon-Fontana, ca for delivery. they asked him to drop at dock door and wait at the yard's back corner or go and come back in 3 hours. he said after waiting 1 hour I saw the yard spotter moved my trailer to another door. one hour later jb hunts truck came and backed under my trailer... he said he had a hard time with amazon. they said him this trailer came in as jb hunt equipment and we have an agreement to use it if needed. 5-6 hours later he had back his trailer empty.
Toomanybikes and Vintage Thank this. -
if i saw that jb hunt driver back into my trailer there would be a little discussion..Another driver is telling me that is a normal practice and that he worked for a carrier that encouraged using any trailer on the amazon lot even if it didn't belong to them or amazon..i find that very alarming..
Grubby, Steel Dragon, DTP and 3 others Thank this. -
A bit of hind sight here, but... could you have used a fifth wheel lock?
fargonaz Thanks this. -
