Are you with a small or large carrier? If at a large carrier, it's very difficult for one driver to lay exclusive claim to any one trailer in the huge fleet. Driver Manager B probably told Driver B to go to Amazon and see if he can find an empty, and that's what he did.

Back in my mega carrier days, this was a regular occurrence. First one to grab an empty [wherever] was first one dispatched.

Disregard this post. I see now you're not at a large carrier.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Call not only the police but also the US Marshall service. Your now dealing with interstate theft.

Well, a trailer is over $10,000 so that's felony theft, right? Oh, that's >$1000 so definitely felony theft.

interesting story . two weeks ago one of my friend went to amazon-Fontana, ca for delivery. they asked him to drop at dock door and wait at the yard's back corner or go and come back in 3 hours. he said after waiting 1 hour I saw the yard spotter moved my trailer to another door. one hour later jb hunts truck came and backed under my trailer... he said he had a hard time with amazon. they said him this trailer came in as jb hunt equipment and we have an agreement to use it if needed. 5-6 hours later he had back his trailer empty.

Sounds like a bunch of scumbags. I'd rather park right in front of my trailer till they're done.

    misterG and mhyn Thank this.

if i saw that jb hunt driver back into my trailer there would be a little discussion..Another driver is telling me that is a normal practice and that he worked for a carrier that encouraged using any trailer on the amazon lot even if it didn't belong to them or amazon..i find that very alarming..
