I’d run him as a super single rather than true teaming. I think we’d both need a few hours in the bunk without the truck moving at first.
I’ve teamed before, and trained before. It takes a few days to have enough confidence in a co driver to go to sleep. Plenty of naps in the jump seat though.

Sounds reasonable. And company is always nice...unless they suffer from flatulence. Dont let him eat any pickled eggs...

I had a short haul of backhoe arms, stacked on pallets. They looked unstable, so I says maybe we can brace them better?
Dispatch says go, they gotta move.
Receiver refused both loads because they jumped off the pallets and ended up a mess.
So I got paid to return them to shipper so they can restock in the morning. Or Monday. I’m going to Texas -

Well hell, sorry been busy lately and haven't posted in awhile. I couldn't take it anymore and quit the big E about 3 weeks ago.

Asked, because I've had similar issues with Cat out of Texas. Not rejected, but had to listen to the cons, whine about the load ... preloaded, sealed trailer.

I sat down at the drivers area at the iron skillet for breakfast. Nobody was around and I thought I could watch the tv while eating.
This would not be the case.
A few moments after I place my order another driver sits down. No introduction, just begins to complain, apparently to me, about slow traffic.
I nodded and smiled. Acknowledging this crisis and thought that was the end of it.
He went on, about a light blue pickup without a speck of lights turned on.
“Yup, that’s dumb.”
He explained at length that it was illegal to drive that way.
Ok. I realized it was my fault for sitting there. That conversation was open and bound to happen. It would have been rude to just go sit elsewhere, so I endured.
After his meal arrives I think that it ought to quiet him down.
Not the case.
He gave a “bro science “ origin of tobasco. Because there wasn’t any. So it came up.
He’d been run over by a loaded truck at a TA.
He did 10 round trips in one night.
He was from Louisiana but lives in Arkansas.
Never gave a name, or asked for mine.
I caught the weather report, I guess it’s raining.Knucklehead, Cybercat, Highway Sailor and 2 others Thank this.
