Im going to go along with all the points. You are absolutely right, if someone is hurting that bad like me. No trucking Period. because pain does interfere with clear thinking and actually disrupts the ... quicksilver smooth reflexes and accurate ... nerve behavior when something comes up requiring action like instantly and correct. (I use too many big words and drown in them trying to describe a picture of someone zoned out on pills unable to realize hes about to smash a school bus unloading children....)

The Pot is not the problem to me, its not my flavor, I actually go ick.. yuck. But anyhow...

Pot WILL be a problem because it is a schedule one drug going way back with Uncle Sam's Federal Laws and so forth in Trucking. Anyone with schedule one drugs is instantly NOT qualified in ANY way to touch a big truck. Think angel dust, PCP etc. Mind altering stuff.

It's pretty cute how dear uncle sam daddy managed to pigeonhole pot into Sch 1.

Finally but not last... I introduce to you a thinking including in my state recently legalized for pot in medical use for pain etc. I had a doctor sit in hot springs hotel taking anyone and everyone with 150 dollars cash to sign a paper for that person now to go to a dispensry once they open up for business and buy medical pot to go home and smoke or eat etc. That doctor signed papers for everyone from 8 am until past midnight not long ago. She is one of 15 doctors who willing to sign the DEA number to prescribe medical pot under license to the person who applied for it.

Thus the society evolves into a place where Pot might be sold next to Moltrin on the walmart shelf because it does not hurt anyone... Someday.

They can process the weed to a point that it gives the beneficial relief with no mood altering effects, is that legal or since it has some dna from the pot plant make it illegal? Some of those other pain relief drugs are harsh on the system and even worse on the liver and kidneys.

 

I remember walking past party row once thinking that was a joke many years ago. boy I was wrong, it was like a huge party going on.

 

Since I am hitting the 60,s I have noticed all the ones who kept on drinking and doing drugs are gone and those of us who stopped are still here....with that illegal grin.

It's the THC, the active indigent. Essentially a chemical compound secreted by the plant.

 

One in particular, Oxycodone. If I took it raw form, known as pink roxy which is pretty small pill because it is a filler to hold the 10mg or whatever amount inside them, it is a fever in a bottle inside my body. Temp increases to 101 and stays there for days.

The Body is essentially telling me that it sees the medicine's as a invasive or a sickness that needs to be burned out and so it raises the temperature to near fever standards to get it done.

When they give the Oxy with APAP say 325 per pill that means now I am taking Oxy mixed with a whole fat tablet of Tylenol. That 325 apap mixed tablet of Tylenol becomes a 1500 mg dose per day. The Human liver such as mine has a safety limit that is generally accepted to be around 4500 mg per day max for a 24 hour. If you exceed this doing a overdose or abusing say 14 pills for a high your liver is essentially going to stop working. When it does Septis toxins build in your blood stream until other organs begin to fail. If you keep abusing this type of Tylenol over say 5 days you will not be alive anymore without a liver transplant.

I don't use oxy for that reason, it happens also to be a semi synthetic (Machine made...) medicine. Which is treated as a poison by my body. Fentynal is the other synthetic which truly brings on a horrible reaction up to including a halt in breathing that kills in 10 minutes flat. Fent is the king of all pain meds. A pin head can render a horse unconsious in a few minutes.

 

My idea of a party is a couple energy drinks and a good computer game.
