    No, I changed the Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula, so that it takes weight as input and length as output.

    This is it: L = ((N-1) * (W/500 - 12N - 36))/N

    L = distance between first and last axle (feet)
    W = weight (lbs)
    N = number of axles.

    The text (belgian law) clearly shows 2 things:

    1. As already mentioned by daf105paccar and 98989 (and others) even outside of the us bridge laws are used, and it is not only about axle loads, contrary to your statement in post 5342.

    2. You can not just reduce tractor length by 6 ft and trailer length by 10 ft (if physically possible at all), contrary to your statement in post 5352. It will effect GCW.

    It is 8x6 rigid truck and 1axle trailer that is hook together to gain more payload. Trailer is fixed to truck chassis and dont steers

    Dont know czech laws, but they allow more weight fo construction trucks than rest of europe. Maybe law dont allow 5axle trucks there, maybe law allows more weight for this one than for 5axle, i dont know.

    None of eu manufacturers offer 5axle truck with 3 driven axles from factory. mb dont have 5axle chassis from factory at all but all but they are conversion. They do have such chassis intended for concrete pumps but i guess it is far more expensive than this

    But nothing as complicated as with the Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula. That is a relatively comlicated formula on it self, and then you have to make those calculations three times, for the tractor, the trailer, and the tractor + the trailer.

    Because of the Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula, US trucks get extremely long, or didn't you read the calculations that I made for those Belgian trucks or the Canadian trucks? Why else do you think that ridiculous contraptions like that Super Dumper truck are being build? Of course it is physically possible to build US tractors and trailers a lot shorter.
