OK, a question: what's a bull hauler? It sounds like someone on a tight schedule who is on a delivery deadline?
I have to admit, even though I've been driving 78 for years: lately, trucks get me nervous. Now even more so. And it's not like I have a choice - I have to drive 78 to get to work. I feel better when I'm in my husband's Pathfinder, at least I'm almost eye level.
So look kindly on the "four-wheeler" gold Nissan Altima.![]()
Fasten your seatbelts - this will be a bumpy ride

Bullhauler - You smell them before you see them. Cattle haulers is what they are.
I use to drive until about 8 years ago, and I still wish I had the view I had in the rig! It drives me nuts being behind minivans, vans, SUV's and pick ups even when I am in my car. -
Tailgating is just plain stupid, especially when done by a 18 wheeler. I wish more cops would take the time to write tickets for it.
-
Tailgating done by anyone is just plain stupid. Cops should write tickets to anyone that does it. Ever seen what happens to a car that is following a semi too close? It isn't pretty.
-
Oh I can see you have alot to learn yet.Why would you want to point fingers when there was not enough info for that? Most of the bullhaulers and owner operators have too much invested in their equipment to drive like that. Not very many bullhaulers on I-78 to start with. Most likely it was some moron whose truck was governed around 70 MPH who thought he couldn`t afford to give up another 100 ft. of realestate.Probably one of the same ones that have the 68MPH dragraces up and down the interstate.Either way it helps give all drivers a black eye.Tailgating is the worst thing you could do in any vehicle.AfterShock, KCCW and Joetro Thank this.

I was just saying in general these are the guys I see do it. Mostly bullhaulers, I dont have enough fingers to count how many times ive been getting passed by a car with a bull hauler attached to the cars bumper trying to push them faster.

Just an innocent thought here.
Tailgating, is bad, but what if the cop comes by about the same time as the car quickly pulls back in front of you. Now you are tailgating, but not your fault. -
One would HOPE that the cop was paying attention to what had been going on. One would also HOPE that the one that has been 'cut off' for lack of a better term for that has the good sense to back it down a little and open that gap back up. Although we all know what happens to a gap in front of your vehicle, no matter what kind of vehicle, in rush hour traffic. A gap in front of a vehicle seems to be an open invitation to some people that think gaps in traffic are not acceptable!Faber Thanks this.

Hope is all you can do. If he looks over right after the person pulls in front before you have the chance to change, it would look like it.
It is just another chance to ticket the big truck. -
Looks like cars and trucks alike will cut in front of you for no other reason than not paying attention to their own driving.
