It's been awhile, but I recall them having a movie theater there too.
An interesting experience, especially after picking up at the caves.
Any decent place to eat on Thanksgiving on I 29?

Space Aliens is overrated imho.
Food was average.
It's like a upscale Chucky Cheese with a separate bar area.oriden953 Thanks this. -

Sending dessert his way, too. . . . since he doesn't have you, atm . . . .
I've spent my share of Thanksgivings on the road in years past. It's not forever, but it's tough.hoosiergirl Thanks this. -
Any place that has LOTS of gravy will do really.

The best place to eat on 29 was the Black Iron Grill in Rock Port, MO. Really sucked ### when that place closed down, had some of the best steaks you’d find anywhere in the country...

I eat very " no frills ", and generally live that way when I'm on the roam. Two reasons.
One) I'm perfectly happy with a good meal from the grill at the fuel island.
Two) I feel guilty even getting a motel room because I'm out to make money for myself and the family. If I'm going to splurge on rooms or higher end food, I'd like it to be with the people I care about.hoosiergirl Thanks this. -
I'm trying to get him to stop and eat because I feel so bad he's out there alone and at least it would get him out of the truck. Besides not wanting to spend the $$, He's not entirely comfortable eating alone especially if the place is filled with families.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -

I worked for a casino in Mesquire like 12 years ago and in thanksgiving that place was FULL of truck drivers that either couldn’t or didn’t want to make it home. The restaraunts there were alright. Not the best but it wasn’t yuck either.
hoosiergirl Thanks this.
